Hushclad
Hushclad is a revolutionary new wall and roof cladding product with demonstrated, remarkable sound reducing properties. It is one of the latest patented technologies invented by the Hushpak team. Not only does Hushclad have extraordinary sound reduction capabilities, it also possesses tremendous mechanical strength – far surpassing conventional cladding materials.
Technology
Hushclad utilises the most modern form of chemical technology, and features a unique laminar construction that incorporates bonded layers of high tensile steel with a unique soundproofing layer. This newly patented system uses our special bonding technique, which guarantees uniform sound attenuation in every sheet.
Sound Reduction Levels
The new Hushclad panel was extensively tested by the National Acoustic Laboratories. Hushclad was found to have remarkable sound reduction qualities, achieving a Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of 23. In lay terms, this means the sound reduction is equivalent to a 40 mm thick sheet of hardwood.
Style
Hushpak cladding is manufactured using standard steel profiles including orb or mini orb. It is visually attractive, available in a range of acrylic paint colours, and comes in lengths up to 7.4 metres.
Benefits of Hushclad
- Proven sound reducing properties
- Superior mechanical strength
- Offers a speed of construction that is hard to beat - great for your building budget
- Hygienic design due to its smooth, sealed surfaces that resist dust build-up:
- Reduced risk of fire (e.g. if coal or wood dust is present)
- No reduction in effectiveness over time (as occurs with traditional sound-proofing)
- Easily cleaned – can even be hosed down if required
- Resistant to damage from excessive plant vibration
Hushclad is a first in soundproofing and building technology, and opens up a whole new realm of ways to sound-proof noisy plant and equipment. The Hushpak team has taken a step forward in sound technology, and is continuing to develop new products that will solve other associated issues.
